MINGO

Priscilla Ann “Gumbo” Mingo, 53, a resident of Hattiesburg, Miss., passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2013, in Hattiesburg.

She was born in Bogalusa on April 15, 1960, to Charles Seven Mingo and Mary Nell Mingo. She accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of First Church of God in Christ, where she served faithfully wherever she was asked.

She loved God, and was caring to her family and others. She was a good cook who would feed the hungry.

She leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Mary Nell Mingo of Bogalusa; four children, Alexander Mingo, Latisha Mingo, Demetrius Mingo and Craft (James) Miles, all of Hattiesburg; six special grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Her father, Charles Mingo, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 11 at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home from 2-6 p.m., followed by a family hour from 6-7 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Second Baptist Church of Bogalusa, with the Rev. Darell Self officiating. Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
