DAVIS

Alice Davis, 83, left this earth Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1929, to Danny and Nurcelia Cotton. She married William D. Davis and they were blessed with seven children.

She was preceded in death by two of her children, Gary Davis and Mary Davis; her husband; her parents; five brothers, Len, Leb, Robert, D.C. and Norman Cotton; and one sister, Virgie Lee Harris.

She is survived by five children, Antionette (Jessie) Robertson, William (Marilyn) Davis, Bennie Ray (Sandra) Davis and Randy (Nora) Davis, all of Franklinton, and Wendy Kay Connally of Atlanta; two sisters, Vera Lee (Johnny) Green and Wanzie Clemeons of Los Angeles; three brothers, Wayne (LaSharne) Cotton of Tylertown, Miss., and Ronnie Cotton and Willie Cotton, both of Franklinton; three sisters-in-law, Bessie Lee Davis, Jerry Dean Cotton and Zelma Cotton, of Franklinton; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home in Franklinton from 2-5 p.m., followed by a family hour from 6-7. The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Greater Hayes Creek Cemetery. Rev. Jerome Warren will officiate.
