BERRY

Gwendolyn Taylor Berry, 63, a former resident of Franklinton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013.

Born on July 28, 1950, she graduated from Washington Parish High School and Southern University. She was an educator for 31 years, where she touched the lives of many children and parents.

She leaves to cherish her memories her parents, Christine Taylor and Lawrence Taylor Jr. of Franklinton, and three children, Tanya Taylor, A’Darrio Berry and Ilya Berry, all of Franklinton.

Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 29, from 3-6 p.m. The funeral service followed at 7 p.m. at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness USA, with Elder Washington Drake, host church officiant, the Rev. Terrence August, eulogist, and her pastor, Lasheena Simmons, of Winan United Methodist Church.

Interment took place on Monday at 1 a.m. in Sweet Home Church Cemetery.
