FREMIN

Leva (Lee) Myers Fremin, 90, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013.

A resident of Franklinton for the past six years, she has been a resident of Gretna for most of her life. Born on Oct. 15, 1922, in Tylertown, Miss., she was a member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton and formerly a member of Calvary Baptist Church of New Orleans for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo S. Fremin; her parents, Herman H. and Margaine Wood Myers; two sisters, Evie Bealer and Ozzie Mae Allmon; two brothers, John Austin Myers and Herman H. Myers Jr.; a stillborn son; and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was the beloved mother of Brenda Fremin Alfred and husband Gerald of Shreveport, Bobbie Fremin Elliot and husband Kenneth of McComb, Miss., Margie Fremin Parker and husband Dale of Franklinton and Kermin “Kit” Fremin and wife Wendy of Murrieta, Calif.

“Granny Goose” will also be greatly missed by her eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, Sept. 30 at Crain Funeral Home, 1109 Bene St. in Franklinton, from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Wood Cemetery in Tylertown.
