COLLETT

Mya Jean Collett, 76, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at her residence in Bogalusa. A Bogalusa native, she was born on June 8,1937.

She is survived by two daughters, Midge Collett of Mandeville and Cathy (Mark) Williams of Baton Rouge; one son, Ned V. Jr. (Ginger) Collett of Katy, Texas; two grandchildren, Luke Williams and Ethan Collett; one sister, Margaret Simmons of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Anthony Romano of Bogalusa, Alfred Romano of Houma and Mickey Romano of Marksville; a close personal friend, Lynn Bennett of Bogalusa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned V. Collett Sr.; two sisters, Katherine Romano and Elizabeth Romano; and two brothers, Russell Romano and John Romano.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 21 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, beginning with a rosary at 10 a.m., until time for the funeral service at noon in the funeral home chapel, celebrated by Father Patrick Collum. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Annunciation Catholic School or St. Tammany Hospital Foundation.
