CLAYBORNE

Ada Brown Peters Clayborne, 85, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at her residence in Varnado.

She was born in Columbia, Miss., on Sept. 1, 1925, to Bishop and Laura Henry Brown.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories a son, Jesse R. Peters of Varnado; a special, loving friend, Jack “Happy” Aultman of Varnado; three stepson; one stepdaughter; 13 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two special friends, Dedra James, her caregiver, and Lila Williams, her road buddy; and a host of nieces, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clayborne; her parents; seven sisters; eight brothers; four stepdaughters; five stepsons; one granddaughter; and one grandson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 7 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Varnado from noon until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Dr. A.S. Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Cemetery in Varnado.
