PENLEY

Virginia Jones Penley, passed away at her residence in Bush at the age of 91 on Aug. 22, 2013.

She was born on Dec. 21. 1921, and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Bush. She also was very active in the Community Center.

She is survived by a son, David (Marsha) King of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Pam (Jessie) Parker of Bush, Diana Hinson (Daryll) Brown of Bush and Susie (James) Brook of Franklinton; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Charlotte Thomas Jones, and two sons, Tommy King and Howard King.

A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 at Hebron Baptist Church in Bush, with Dr. Mike Edens officiating.
