LILLY

William Roy Lilly, 56, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at his home in Lucedale, Miss. Born May 24, 1957, Roy was a native of Mt. Hermon and had spent about 15 years recently in Boone County, Ark. He was a former self-employed carpenter and a member of First Jesus Name Church of Benndale, Miss. He loved playing his guitar and often collecting them, and he enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Tyrel Ford of Benndale; a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Jamie Lilly of Maynardville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Kadence Ford, Jake Ford, Dustin Lilly and Andrew Cook; his parents, Bill and Lavenia Lilly of Mt. Hermon; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Sonya Lilly of Missouri; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Venie and Billy Wayne Spears of Thomas, Marilyn and Wayne Taylor of Franklinton and Darlene and Raymond Garcia of Mt. Hermon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 18 at Crain Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Terry McCain and Bro. William Moore officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to help with his final expenses.
