Robert “Bobby” Jordan, 47, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at LSU Medical Center. Born Oct. 11, 1965, he was a native and longtime resident of Bogalusa, and a member of Lee Hill Baptist Church in Folsom.
He is survived by his mother, Wyoma Whitehead Jordan of Bogalusa; his wife, Hilda Creel Jordan of Bogalusa; three brothers, Thomas Earl Jordan of Bogalusa, Fred Allen Howell Jr. of Tennessee and Freddie Lynn Howell of Bogalusa; two stepsons, James Bennett and George Todd Bennett, both of Denham Springs; two stepdaughters, Edith Jeanette Mitchell and Geneva Ann Price, both of Denham Springs; a stepbrother, Tony Jordan of Bogalusa; two half-sisters, Lottie Howell of Gulfport, Miss., and Mary Jane Howell of Independence; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Earl Jordan, and a stepbrother, Brayan and Chasity Lynn Whitehead.
Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 17 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5-10 p.m., and will resume on Sunday from 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Leon Hickman officiating. Interment will follow at Neal Cemetery in Folsom.
