NOBLES

Vera Glenn Wilson Nobles, 81, died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa. Born May 17, 1932, she was a lifelong resident of Pine and a faithful member of Midway Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to play the piano and many may remember her “playing the washtub” at Mile Branch Settlement.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Denver Nobles of Pine; two sons and daughters-in-law, Denver Nobles Jr. and Roselyn Nobles of Scott and Rodney and Veronica Nobles of Pine; nine grandchildren and spouses, Carla and Ernest Boudreaux of Scott, Jim Nobles and Joe Nobles, both of Lafayette, Matthew and Tammy Nobles, Berkley and Marilyn Nobles and Derrick and Allison Nobles, all of Bogalusa, Robin Nobles and Cynthia Nobles, both of North Carolina, and Brent and Danielle Nobles of Pine; 11 great-grandchildren, Haley and Austin Nobles, Gabe Faye, Taya, Troy and Tyler Nobles, Kylie and Talyn Nobles, Cadence Nobles and Vera Nobles; a stepbrother and spouse, Leroy and Billie Breland of Baton Rouge; a stepsister, Janice Ard of Varnado; a sister-in-law, Ollie Cadenhead of Kentwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Clifton Wilson and Rebecca Ingram Wilson, her stepfather, Berkley Breland, and infant brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation was held Saturday, Aug. 10 at Crain Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and will continue on Sunday from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Elder Morgan Farmer and Elder Billy Reyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Midway Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Matthew Nobles, Berkley Nobles, Brent Nobles, Jim Nobles and Joe Nobles.
