STEVENSON

Ora Lee Stevenson, 81, departed this life Sunday, July 29, 2013, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 24, 1931, in Bay Springs, Miss., to J.T. Keys and Annie Bell Payton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Stevenson Sr.; two children, Melvin Moses and Alfred Moses; two sisters, Ruth Gant and her twin, Cora Lee Moses; two brothers, Quince Wade and Andrew “Andy” Payton.

Her memories will be forever cherished by her children, Freddy (Sadie) Moses of Bogalusa, Glen Jefferson of Bogalusa, Mary Keeton of Moss Point, Miss., Raymond (Gloria) Keys of Baker, Joyce Smith, Victor (Mary) Keys of Seattle, Wash., and Mary Ann Keys (William) Jordan and Jackquline Keys, both of Bogalusa; three stepchildren, Gloria Stevenson, Clarence Stevenson Jr. and Gwendolyn Stevenson; siblings, Louise Dixon of Fresno, Calif., Homer (Joan) Payton Jr., Mary Jean Wyrick of Fresno and Martha (Richard) Wilkerson of Pomona, Calif.; 33 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special nieces, Tressie Moses and Dorothy Martin; a daughter-in-law, Karen Moses; godsons, Mack Moses Jr. and terry Moses; special friends, Lucille Nichols, Ossilean Moses, Julia Conelly and Lee Donnia Keeton and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 10 at Second Baptist Church in Bogalusa from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Darell Self officiating. Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
