Tim Edward Voth passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston following a brief struggle with lung cancer. He was 66 years old.

He was born in Bogalusa on Nov. 26, 1946, to Odell and Rita Von Bryant Voth. He graduated from Bogalusa High School and later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam War. He also enjoyed reading and watching television to educate himself on the latest news and discoveries.

Tim is survived by his sister, Suzanne Lyndall Voth Busby of Bogalusa; his brothers, Rickey Claude and wife Connie Seal Voth of Lafayette and Gary Bryan and wife Lori Cromer Voth of Baton Rouge; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Claude and Myrtha Mizell Voth of Bogalusa and Shelby and Lea Graham Bryant of Foxworth, Miss.; his former wife, Mary Ann Doussard Voth; his brother-in-law, Bruce L. Alford II; and other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, officiated by his cousin, Cole Fornea. Military honors were rendered by members of Bogalusa Magic City American Legion Post 24.
