Marcia A. Petrie Landry, 74, received her angel wings Saturday, July 27, 2013.

She was born April 14, 1939, in Pontiac, Mich. She was the oldest of four children and daughter of the late Merrill D. Petrie and Marjorie C. Petrie of Pontiac.

Marcie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Donald N. Landry of Franklinton; a brother, Mark Petrie, and sister, Marlene Petrie of Clearwater, Fla.; her sister, Michele Petrie Dawson of Waterford, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Dayle L. Landry of Bay St. Louis, Miss. and Donna A. Landry Visalia, Calif.; a granddaughter, Melissa A. Landry of Bay St. Louis; a niece Audrey Dawson; and nephews, Mark Dawson and Christopher Dawson. She leaves behind her beloved Dalmatian, Lacey.

Marcie’s life included many different facets, consisting of but not limited to flight attendant for United Airlines, accomplished horsewoman and teacher. For all who knew her, there would never be a better friend. We love and will truly miss her.

A private gathering will be held at a later date for a celebration of Marcie’s life.
