Betsy Gaither is pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of her daughter, Christi Ann Adams Saucier, to Rosario “Roe” Joseph Cheramie, the son of Christine Theriot and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cheramie.

The bride-elect, the granddaughter of Vernon Freeman and the late Mrs. Hilda “Grannie” Freeman, is a 2000 graduate of Bogalusa High School and in May 2005 she graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University. She currently is employed as a teacher with the Bogalusa City School System.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Lafourche Merchant Marine Sea School and is employed as a boat captain by Callais & Sons. He is also the owner of Gulf Coast Facility Management. His grandparents are the late Edville Cheramie, the late Aminie Cheramie, the late Joseph A. Callais and the late Henrietta Gisclair.

The nuptials will be solemnized in a 6 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, Aug.10, on the beach in Biloxi, Miss.

Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to attend.
