Joe Nathan Davis Sr., 74, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his residence in Franklinton.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Davis of Franklinton; one daughter, Debra Averhart of Baton Rouge; one son, Joe Nathan Davis Jr. of Franklinton; four sisters, Elaine Wilson of Franklinton, Mercedes Gaines of Oakland, Calif., and Alnethia Ball and Ozzie Ratliff, both of New Orleans; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 19 at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home of Franklinton from 2-6 p.m., followed by a family hour from 6-7 p.m.
