Hope Bridgette Whitfield and Stanley Luvern Young II will exchange wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony on Saturday, July 20 at 3 p.m. Superintendent Lawrence Young of Houston will perform the ceremony at Mary’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 63343 Jones Creek Road in Varnado. 

The bride-elect, the daughter of Raymond McGriggs of Bogalusa and Annie (Kenneth) Smith of Bogalusa, is a graduate of the Washington Parish School System and is employed by the Workforce Center of Tangipahoa Parish.  

The prospective groom is a graduate of the Tangipahoa Parish School System and is employed by Spartan Off-Shore Drilling. He is the son of Stanley Young and Gwendolyn Ross of Hammond.
