MARKS

Eula Marks, 85, departed this life Thursday, July 4, 2013, at AMG Specialty Hospital.

Sister Eula was born in Washington Parish on Dec. 8, 1927, to Wilbur and Annice Marks. She had a passion for cooking and loved children. One of the greatest joys in her life was having them around to cook and feed them and to send them off with candies and snacks and big smiles on their faces.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Sue (David) Brown of Bogalusa and Gloria Marks of Benton Harbor, Mich.; three sisters, Alberta Stevenson of Milwaukee, Wis., Arula Wallace of Los Angeles and Essie Jefferson of Benton Harbor; four grandchildren, Kenner Brown of Bogalusa, Teresa Marks and Keisha Marks, both of South Bend, Ind., and Shawn Marks of Dallas; a special friend, Aline Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Annice Marks; two sisters, Helen Pearson and Mary Marks; and two brothers, Jessie Marks and J.W. Marks.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 12 at Cook-Richmond Funeral Home of Bogalusa from 2-5 p.m., with a family hour from 5-6 p.m.

The funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with Dr. A.J. Luter officiating. Interment will follow at Bogalusa Cemetery. Sign the online guestbook at www.cookrichmondfuneralhome.com.
