HERRING

Anthony Herring, 29, passed away July 9, 2013, at his residence in Denham Springs at the age of 29.

Born Sept. 24, 1983, he was a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church in Covington, and also served his community as a paramedic and a volunteer fireman.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Arson Hughes of Enon; a sister, Veronica (Johnathon) Pellow of Covington; a half-sister, Deonna (David) Stroud of Covington; a stepsister, Victoria Hughes of Holden; a brother, Nathan Herring of Enon; a stepbrother, Todd (Rebecca) Breland of Laurel, Miss.; his grandfather, Martin Hartfield Jr.; his girlfriend, Sandi Shoemake; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends; and most of all, his family with both the paramedic and volunteer fire departments. His father, Frank Terry Herring Jr., and his grandparents, Frank and Wilda Herring and Betty and Otto Mizell, preceded him in death. Visitation will be held Friday, July 12 at New Life Pentecostal Church in Covington from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Malcom Meyers officiating.
