JONES

Gwendolyn Delores Creel Jones, 74, died early Friday, July 5, 2013, at her home in the Enon Community.

Born Aug. 25, 1938, she was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church near Bogalusa and retired as a mail-carrier from the United States Postal Service. She loved her flowers and tending to her many flower gardens. She was always a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra (Perry) Jenkins of Enon; a son, Brian (Carmen) Jones of Enon; five grandchildren and spouses: Brandon and Mallory Jenkins, Dustin and Meagan Jenkins, Nicolas Jenkins, Brianna Jones and Amanda Jones; two brothers, Richard (Ann) Creel and Danny Creel and Lynn, all of Bogalusa; a sister-in-law, Monnie Jones of Enon; three nephews, Kenneth and Bonnie Jones of Enon, Ray and Susan Jones and Danny Jones, all of Gulfport; and numerous other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Jones; a son, Darrell Jones; and her parents, Archie Leroy Creel and Verda Lee Sheridan Creel.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 7 at Crain Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Elder Pete Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Spencer Cemetery.
