CREEL

Willie J. Creel Sr., 71, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at his residence in Angie. Born Nov. 6, 1941, he worked as a logger for several logging companies.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Lee Creel of Angie; two sons, Willie J. Creel Jr. (Colinda) of Pasadena, Texas, and Boris J. Stogner of Pine; three daughters, Kim (Bobby) Whaley of Franklinton, Tammy Creel of Pasadena and Dawn (Arron) Davis of Lucedale, Miss.; two stepdaughters, Sheila (John) May and Michelle (Robert) Daugherty, both of Franklinton; one stepson, Robert B. Stogner of Hackley; two brothers, J.L. Creel of Franklinton and Auther (Cathy) Creel of Lucedale; four sisters, Edila Rester and Thelma Smith, both of Franklinton, Robina Boucheaux of Bogalusa and Marie Frank of New Orleans; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 6 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5-10 p.m., and will resume on Sunday from 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Willie Faye Rogers conducting the services. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery in Franklinton.
