Stella Lavina Rester, born Sept. 6, 1939, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Franklinton, at the age of 73.

She is survived by four daughters, Darlene Jenkins of Franklinton, Lucy Gail Johnson of Adamsville, Tenn., Johnnie Lynn (Blue John) Larkin of DeRidder and Chinese’ Larriane Creel of Franklinton; one son, John (Cadillac) Rester of Mt. Hermon; one brother, Don Paul Miller of Bogalusa; two sisters, Rebecca Rose Smith of Sandy Hook, Miss. and Linda Faye Smith of Foxworth, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard John Rester, and her parents, Buford Maurice Miller and Vertie Lee Seals Miller.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 28 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. in the Poole-Ritchie Chapel. Brother Mike Stafford will officiate and interment will follow in the Rester Cemetery.
