MAGEE

Antronette Harvey Magee, 83, departed this life May 14, 2013, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington. She was born Nov. 19, 1929, to the late Deacon Pearlie Harvey and Mother Mattie Lee Magee Harvey. She was the oldest of 12 children.

She was married to the late Deacon Ollie Magee Sr. To this union 14 children were born. She was also mother to 12 foster children.

She leaves to cherish her memories, nine daughters, Katherine (Loyd) Pickett of Carson, Calif., Consue Henderson of San Diego, Calif., Sarah (Clay) Silvie, Paulette William, Pamela (DeVance) William and Marie (Marcus) Ford, all of Long Beach, Calif., and Anita Brumfield, Sandra (Johnny) Ratliff and Jackie (Donald) Martin, all of Franklinton; five sons, Truman Magee of Long Beach, Brian (Deanna) Magee of Folsom and Hamilton (JoAnn) Magee, Daria Magee and Frank (Dueoan) Magee, all of Franklinton; five sisters, Pearlean Sims of Atlanta, Ga., Frankie (Michael) Hudspeth of Diamond Bar, Calif., Geraldine Alfred of Compton, Calif., Yvon Chandler of Franklinton and Mary Causey of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Ross (Sarah) Harvey, Larry Harvey and Harvell Harvey, all of Los Angeles; one uncle, George Harvey of California; four sisters-in-law, Peggy Harvey of Texas, and Catherine Harvey, Becky Harvey and Ellen Harvey, all of California; 67 grandchildren; 87 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearlie and Mattie Harvey; her husband, Ollie Magee Sr.; two sons, Ollie Jr. and Barry; five brothers, Aaron, Russell, Louie, Bonnie Ray and Jerome Harvey; her father- and mother–in-law, Supt. Monroe and Pearlie Magee and Sis. Ora Magee; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 20 at Crain & Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton from 2-5 p.m., followed by a family hour from 5-7 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Magee’s Temple Church of God In Christ, with Supt. Cecealine Tate, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery.
