Roublow qualifies for Southstate in 2 individual events

Bowling Green’s Patrick Roublow made it to the Southstate Meet in two individual events at Thursday’s District 6-AA Meet at Silliman Institute.
Roublow advanced by winning the long jump (20-2) and he was fourth in the 100-meters (11.92). Centreville’s Colton Terrell topped the 100 (11.35).
Roublow was also a member of two qualifying relay teams, including the 4×100 (49.90) and 4×200 (1:44).
His teammates for the 4×100 were Brody Schillings, K.J. Robertson and Sedale Payton. The 4×200 team included Schillings, Robertson and Hayden Thompson.
Both were fourth-place finishers with Silliman winning the two races, the 4×100 (44.79) and 4×200 (1:33).
Silliman also won the 4×800 (8:52) and Centreville Academy captured the 4×400 (3:43).
Bowling Green’s Connor McCain bested the high jump (5-10).
Thursday’s meet was the competitors’ chance to make it to the Southstate Meet, which is being held at Silliman. The track events occur Wednesday with the field Saturday. The top four finishers from each event advance to state.
Centreville’s John Marcus McDowell won the 200 (23.62), while teammate Terrell captured the 400 (51.85).
Centreville’s Dustin Williams topped the 800 (2:06) with the host school’s Denver Pierce winning the 1,600 (4:55) and 3,200 (10:38).
Silliman’s Trey Rockforte was victorious in the 110-hurdles (17.19). Oak Forest’s Tyler Hassen took the 300-hurdles (43.56) and triple jump (39-8).
Centreville’s Austen Addington was best in the pole vault (12-0).
Centreville’s Edward DeLee topped the shot put (48-9), while Centreville’s Mike Keith won the discus (125-9.5).
