Franklinton beats Dominican

Franklinton’s Haley Sanford hit a three-run homer and finished with two hits, helping the Lady Demons capture an 8-5 victory over Dominican at home Wednesday.

FHS finishes the regular season with a 14-16 record.

Darrien Dykes singled, doubled and drove in two runs.

Brittney Burch doubled and finished with an RBI. Austen Felder also singled in the win.

Pine sweeps Varnado

Pine’s Lady Raiders won both ends of their doubleheader 18-0 and 13-3 at home Wednesday.

Maci Cobb pitched in both games of the twinbill, including three innings during the opener and all five of the second.

Some of the Pine players who recorded hits included Cobb, Kelsey Perry, Jaelyn Barr and Shay Seals.

Varnado’s Martha Woodward hit a home run in the second game.

Varnado falls to Ecole Classique

Varnado’s Lady Cats suffered a doubleheader loss to Ecole Classique Monday 17-3 and 22-0.
