HOLLINS

Elder David Hollins, 62, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at his residence in Folsom. He was born Feb. 4, 1951, and was a veteran of the United States Armed Services.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Ethel Hollins of Folsom; a son, Malcolm David Hollins of Folsom; a daughter, Phylice (Derek) Holly of Dallas; three brothers, James (Ann) Hollins of Chicago, Charlie Hollins of Mt. Hermon and Malachi (Sandra) Hollins of Folsom; five sisters, Delphine Butler of Marrero, Katie Bell and Dora Morrison of Avondale, Naomi Hampton of Atlanta, Ga. and Joyce Hollins of Jackson, Miss.; an aunt, Maggie Walters of New Hebron, Miss.; and an uncle, Steve Banks Jr. of Hattiesburg, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. W. H. and Mrs. Naomi Banks Hollins; two brothers, Willie Hollins Jr. and Odell Hollins; and a sister, Ruth Reeder.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 15, from 4-6 p.m., at Vineyard Ministries, 1524 4th St. in Westwego. The memorial musical service will begin at 6 p.m., led by Assistant Pastor Walker.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Midway Church of Christ Holiness USA in Folsom, with Elder Leroy Divinity, pastor, officiating, and Bishop Vernon Kennebrew eulogizing. Interment will follow at Folsom Community Cemetery.
