Betty Louise Burton, 71, a resident of Franklinton born April 28, 1941, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 in Bogalusa.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Reuben (Melanie) Watts of Bogalusa and Tony Prewitt of Franklinton; two daughters, Picola McClain and Ruby Burkhalter of Franklinton; one sister, Virginia Lewis of Milwaukee, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Pecola Mabon; her husband, Johnnie Ray Burton; two sons, Paul Burkhalter and Orlando Burkhalter; two brothers, Genell Mabon and Johnny Mabon; one sister, Eugenia Brumfield; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 7 at Crain & Sons Funeral Home in Franklinton from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., followed by family hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at the Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Washington Drake, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Sweet Home Church Cemetery.
