Rodney Pierce, 71, born Sept. 17, 1941 in Varnado, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27 at his residence in Angie.

He is survived by one son, Bart (Melissa Kees) Pierce; two sisters, Genell Tullos and Diane Smith; three brothers, Welton (Mildred) Pierce Sr., Raymond Pierce and Ted (Ann) Pierce; two grandchildren, Jordan Pierce and Brooke Pierce; one great-grandchild, Miles Pierce Wheat; and special friends, Ralph and Marion Pierce and Larry and Janice Hunt.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel C. Pierce, and his parents, Dan Pierce and Letha McNeese Pierce.

Visitation will be held Wednesday at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday in the funeral home chapel from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral services at 11 a.m., with Bro. Donnie Broom officiating. Interment will follow at Pierce Cemetery.
