GBR event set Dec. 8 to help defray medical expenses

Pro bull riding, bull fighting and barrel racing will be on the agenda at the Guts and Glory Great Bull Riding Action set Dec. 8 at the Franklinton covered arena. Proceeds from the event will help pay medical expenses for MaKenzie Crain and Peyton Spears.

Top bull riders from throughout the Southeast will be on hand, including the Coors Man in the Can, Rudy Burns, the nine-time NFR Barrel Man. Also competing will be the fast-paced cowgirls in the barrel racing event.

New for this event will be free-style bullfighting and free-style cowboy protection competitions.

Other attractions include a mechanical bull, climbing walls, kids attractions and the Gold Rush.

Tickets for the event are $12 and $10 for children at the gate. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Circle T in Franklinton and Country Fashions in Bogalusa. Adults will be $10 and children will be $8.
