Richard Wayne Newman

Richard Wayne Newman, 62, born June 25, 1950 passed away at his residence Monday, Nov. 19, 2012.

He was a native of Bogalusa. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He also attended Monroe Street Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Merritt Latino of Poplarville Miss.; a daughter, Tasha Newman of Honolulu Hawaii; a sister, Connie Richardson of Bogalusa; three grandchildren, Allie Wilkerson, Alexis Newman and Joshua Magee; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Alverta (Netto) Newman, and two brothers, Leonard and Larry Newman.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume Friday from 8 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Rev. Clayton Kennedy will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the Crossroads community.
