Brenda Lee Chapman, 49, of Bogalusa, departed this life Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at the Bogalusa Community Medical Center.

She is survived by two daughters, Krystal Lee Chapman and Khristy Lee Chapman of Bogalusa; her granddaughter, Michelle Ariel Chapman of Bogalusa; a special friend, John Henry Brown of Hackley; two sisters, Linda Chapman and Eva Chapman of Bogalusa; two brothers, Willie Chapman Jr. of New Orleans and Bobby Ratliff of Chicago, Ill.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie J. Chapman Sr. and Lela Teretha Magee Ratliff Chapman; her aunt who raised her, Elizabeth Watts; five sisters, Emma Ratliff, Marie Francis, Elizabeth Brown, Frances Chapman and Alice Chapman; five brothers, Howard Ratliff, James Ratliff, Richard Chapman, Roland Chapman and Saga Chapman.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 17 in the chapel of Crain & Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa at 11 a.m., with Rev. Larry Lucas Sr. officiating.
