Sally Jane Smith Caples, 63, a resident of Franklinton born June 6, 1949, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at 11:36 p.m. at Riverside Medical Center.

She was a former restaurant owner and was a believer in God. She loved each child in a special way and was always there to provide for them. She was always there to talk and would have dinner ready for whoever was coming by. She was forever a loving mother.

She is survived by two sons and a spouse, William J. Magee Jr. and Felix and Mendy Lucito; six daughters and spouses, Joanicha and Clinton Spears, Selyna and Johnnie Polk, Crystal and Randy Smith, Carey and Dewayne Crosby, Shannon Caples and Shonnon Caples; 23 grandchildren, Sammy Joe Magee Jr. and Misti Magee, William Ryan Magee, Chasity Lucito, Shelby Magee, Kaylie Manshack, Jason Overmier Sr., Jeremy Magee, Karlie Magee, Lisa Lucito, Dillon Smith, Destiny Crosby, Eric Crosby, Madison Smith, Kelsie Spears, Trenton Smith, Cassidy Luper, Carelyne Crosby, David Smith, Caleb Dilley, Samantha Riley, Krystin Lucito, Alyssa Caples and Kaylan Spears; three great-grandchildren, Yazmyne Jefferson, J’Von Lucito and Macie Ann Magee; and a brother and sister-in-law, Abel and Karen Smith.

She was preceded in death by her son, Sammie Joe Magee; parents, Abel Smith Sr. and Beatrice Richardson Wissell; and brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Alice Smith.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Crain Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Eld. Duane Ball officiating. Burial followed at the Star Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
