Ruth Borde, born March 25, 1924, died peacefully at her home in Bogalusa on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 surrounded by her family.

She is survived by three sisters, Althea Ricks of Pensacola, Fla., Lucille Smith of Byrd’s Chapel and Sharon Borde of Bogalusa; three brothers, Robert Borde and Louis Borde, both of Bogalusa, and Wayne Borde of Metairie; and her loving godchild, Karen Morgan of Mandeville. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lillian Borde, and her sister, Lois Borde.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 3 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
