The public will have an opportunity to provide input about millage rates and property taxation during public hearings scheduled to begin Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers of the Washington Parish Courthouse.

The Parish Council will first conduct a public hearing on Ordinance No. 12-567, which would ad-just the millage rate following reassessment. Public input will also be accepted about Ordinance No. 12-568, which would levy, on all the property subject to taxation in the parish, taxes for the 2012 tax roll.

Adoption of the ordinances will be considered during the Parish Council meeting scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m.
