Harlan H. Irvine Sr., 77, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1 at his residence in Bogalusa.

He served his country as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Flynn Irvine of Bogalusa; sons, Harlan Irvine Jr. of Bogalusa and Charles Kevin Irvine of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Angela Sullivan of Jackson, Miss. and Amy Creighton of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brothers, Harbert Irvine of Bogalusa and Calvin Eugene “Hap” Irvine of Bogalusa; sisters, Ethel Seiler of Orange, Texas and Daisey Knight of Bogalusa; and nine grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by a son, Dudley Irvine; his parents, Louie and Minnie Irvine; and brothers, Danny and David Irvine.

Visitation was held Friday, Aug. 3 in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and continued Saturday from 8 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial followed in the VA Plot in Ponemah Cemetery.
