George Williams, 53, displays a 25-pound redfish and 30-pound black drum he caught while fishing the Unknown Pass below Lake St. Catherine across the Rigolets on Thursday afternoon.

Williams, a native of Bogalusa and a retired railroad conductor, caught the fish on live shrimp.

He has been fishing a lifetime and goes out about twice a month offering charter services.
