Glen Lott

Glen Lott, 77, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at his residence in Bogalusa. He was born in Bastrop on Sept. 15, 1934.

He was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, a member of Center Lodge No. 244 F&AM and a past member of MCCA. He also was a member of Magic City American Legion Post No. 24 and the Shriners Club. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was the owner of Bogalusa Iron Works.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Lott; a daughter, Theresa Lott; two sons, Brad (Angela) Lott and Brian (Elizabeth) Lott; a brother, Coley Laverne Lott, Jr.; his granddaughters, Tiffany (Keith) Williams and Jenny (Seth) Van Buren; his grandsons, Sean (Anna) MacKinnon, Kayne Lott and Blayne Lott; his great-grandchildren, Hunter Williams, Evan MacKinnon and Stephen Van Buren; and special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Kay Lott; his parents, Coley and Nellie Lott; a sister, Lillian Walsh; and a brother, Homer “Peanut” Lott.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 16 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a Masonic service by Center Lodge No. 244 F&AM at 7 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Father Milton Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery. A military graveside service will be conducted by the Magic City American Legion Post No. 24.
