Ruth Hughes Warner, 84, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012 at her residence in Bogalusa.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bogalusa and owned Warner’s Fish House for 30 years.

She is survived by one son, Gary Nelson Warner of Bogalusa; three daughters, Emma Victoria (Noel) Phillips of New Caney, Texas, Jeanette Corkern of Bogalusa and Carolyn Harwood of Bogalusa; brothers, O.L. Hughes of Dexter, Miss. and Woodrow Hughes of Pine; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Nelson Warner, and parents, Odie Lee and Queen Victoria Hughes.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 11 in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 3 p. m. until 10 p.m. and will continue Thursday from 8 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
