Gienell Dyson, born on Nov. 5, 1945 to the late William Brumfield Jr. and Rosia Spurlock, received her call from glory on Friday, July 6, 2012.

She leaves to mourn, one daughter, Rosemary Dyson of Kentwood; four brothers, Earl Brumfield of Franklinton, Willis Brumfield of Mt. Hermon, Billy Earl Brumfield of Tangipahoa and Albert Leon Brumfield of Kentwood; four sisters, Jeannette Jackson, Frankie Jean Brumfield, Beckadine Brumfield and Elaine Burris, all of Mt. Hermon; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 13 at Crain & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Franklinton from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday at Union Chapel A.M.E. Church at 11 a.m., with Rev. Sherman Berry officiating. Internment will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery in Kentwood.
