Joan L. Magee, 67, born May 12, 1945, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012.

She was a resident of Bogalusa and attended Union Avenue Baptist Church.

She was survived by a son, James Larry Amacker; a daughter, Cindy L. Bennett; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends; and her very special pet, “Duke.”

She was preceded in death by parents, Leal L’Amoreaux and Maude Cox L’Amoreaux; husband, Jessie Fred Magee; and sister, Mae Jean Guidry.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 9 in the Chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., Rev. Larry Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery in Dexter, Miss.
