Paul Bernard Mutter

Paul Bernard Mutter, 92, a resident of Covington, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Forest Manor Nursing Home in Covington.

Born June 28, 1918, he was a veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.

He is survived by two granddaughters, Tiffanie Fornea of Covington and Kirbi Herring of Plymouth, Mich.; one grandson, Paul Brett Fornea of Angie; two great-grandchildren, Blake Fornea and Colton Fornea, both of Angie; two sisters, Dorothy Murphy of Fort Walton Beach, Fla. and Mary Haaga of Bogalusa; two brothers, Bernard Mutter Jr. of Bay St. Louis, Miss. and Lloyd Mutter of Metairie; numerous nieces and nephews; and his pet dog and best friend, Toby.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Mutter Herring, and three brothers, Charles Mutter, Donald Mutter and Harold Mutter.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until time for the funeral services at 2: p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Fr. Patrick Collum officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery with military graveside services by Magic City American Legion Post 24.
