There will be a clean up day for the Bogalusa City Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.

All interested District A volunteers or any resident or community organization is invited to join in a general clean up of the grounds.

Please bring suggested tools for the project. These include gloves to wear, leaf rakes, gas operated blowers, brooms, weedeaters, special saws for mowing the grass and cutting bushes, and any other tools that may be needed.

This is a great way for citizens to give back to their loved ones and their community, and also a great way for students to earn credits toward community service projects.

The Bogalusa Jr. ROTC has adopted the cemetery and will maintain the veterans’ area as a project.
